One of our greatest areas of focus is with Make-A-Wish® of Southern Florida.

Why Make-A-Wish?

The answer can be found in what would seem like an inconsequential amount of time. 35 minutes. Because to a child with a life-threatening medical condition, that number represents the hope that theirs is the wish that is granted every 35 minutes nationwide.

Make a Wish southern florida fox newsMake-A-Wish of Southern Florida helps grant wishes that change the lives of the kids with life-threatening medical conditions. KFB Law is proud to support the local Make-A-Wish chapter. Serving 13 counties in the state of Florida as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands, Make-A-Wish Southern Florida serves a unique, and vital, role in helping strengthen and empower children battling life-threatening medical conditions.

The impact of wishes extend past the child themselves and have a ripple effect with Wish parents and siblings. According to the Make-A-Wish America “Wish Impact” study, 98% of parents stated they felt like a “normal” family when their child’s wish was granted. When the wish process starts 81% of partners notice their child becomes more compliant with medical treatment protocols and 74% of the time is marked a turning point in their child’s response to treatment. Simply put… this simple act of hope can save lives.

Each Make-A-Wish community relies on the support of passionate individuals to help the organization succeed in its mission to change the lives of Wish Kids. Kinney, Fernandez & Boire is proud to have served Make-A-Wish through a variety of different roles, even earning recognition along the way. This includes:
